May 21st, 2020

Dear San Clemente Municipal Golf Course Golfers,

As the City continues to work on gaining the appropriate approvals for additional operations, we would like to share a few updates going to into effect this Friday, May 22.

  • Flagsticks: Flagsticks will be returned to holes with modifications to allow the ball to be removed safely without the removal of the flagstick.
  • Carts: Golf carts will be available for rent for all golfers. All golf carts must be single rider only. Private carts registered with the Pro Shop will also be permitted. Cart reservation will be available at check-out when booking future tee times.
  • If you have questions regarding golf course operations, please contact the Beaches, Parks and Recreation Department at (949) 361-8264.

Thank you for your support of the Muni and we appreciate your patience and cooperation as we continue to navigate the future ahead of us.

    Kindest regards,
Beaches, Parks and Recreation Department Staff
    City of San Clemente

This is where you go to make a reservation:

You MUST REGISTER!! There is a button the upper left corner of the reservation screen for registration.

    Posting scores:

  • Due to the lack of Tee Markers and flagsticks the SCGA has recommended NOT posting scores for any round played at San Clemente Muni.
  • Please post any rounds you may play at other courses where conditions are more nearly a normal setup

  •    GOFUNDME Project for pro-shop and bar staff

We have received all the funds from GoFundMe and the money has been dispersed to our great friends in the pro-shop and bar as you can see from the photo below.
We received a net of around $18,500 from some 225 Men and Women's club members.
The Board of Directors voted to add to that amount from the treasury and make it an even $20,000.
The Board thanks all of you who donated to this worthy cause. You have shown a great deal of not only generosity, but also community spirit toward our golfing community.

        Kurt Luebke, President

If you haven't visited the Muni in a while here is a 20-minute video by two men playing our course for the first time. They are accompanied by SCMGC member and 2016 Net Club Champion, Brendon Thomas. Brendon is also the publisher of The Golfer's Journal, that beautiful magazine we all received a copy of a few months(seems like a lifetime) ago. It is a fun look at our "gem" of a golf course. Take a look.
